Pranic Healing is an ancient science and art of healing that uses Prana or Life-Force Energy to heal a wide range of physical and psychological ailments.
Everything in the universe is made up of energy. In Sanskrit, this vital energy is called Prana. In other traditions it is known as Chi (Chinese) or Ki (Japanese).
We accept that electricity exists because we see the effects it produces.
We trust technologies like Wi-Fi every day, even though we cannot see the signals traveling through the air.
In a similar way, the body is sustained by an invisible life force energy-’prana’, that supports health, vitality, and balance.
This life energy flows through the body and supports our physical health, emotional balance, and mental clarity. When the flow of energy is strong and balanced, we feel vibrant, calm, and well. When it becomes depleted or blocked, we may experience physical and/or psychological disorders.
Modern science has shown that the human body is not only biochemical but also electrical and electromagnetic in nature. Every heartbeat, nerve impulse, and brain signal is powered by subtle electrical activity within the body. These biological processes generate measurable electromagnetic fields that extend beyond the physical body.
For thousands of years, many traditions have revealed that the human body is surrounded and interpenetrated by a subtle energy field. This field is often referred to as the bioplasmic field, the aura, or simply the energy body.
Just as the physical body can accumulate toxins or fatigue, the energy body can also become imbalanced or congested. Within this energy body are important energy centres called chakras, which regulate the flow of life force energy throughout the system.
Each chakra is associated with specific organs and systems of the physical body and is also believed to influence our emotional and psychological states. Because the physical body and the energy body are closely interconnected, imbalances in the energy system eventually affect physical health, emotional balance, and mental wellbeing.
